ME OR EVERYONE ? Penny stocks take all of your protfolio

Is it just me, or does this happen to everyone?
I don't know about you guys, but every time I touch penny stocks, I end up losing money. I always manage to ruin my paycheck and go broke. It feels like the moment I purchase a stock, it starts to drop, and the second I sell it, it takes off and goes up!
I feel like I'm after these penny stocks like Tom and Jerry. I've lost over $20,000, and I'm feeling defeated.
Has anyone else been through this? Please share your experience below!
